A total of 22 Sisters are moving out of the diocese, to the Fontbonne Convent, in Milton, or to the Bethany Health Care Center, or the St. Joseph Sisters' Residence, which are connected facilities in Framingham. She was a member of the retirement community at St. Joseph Residence, Mont Marie, Holyoke. She also studied at University of Western Washington, Smith College and Westfield State College. From 1971-79 she served as President of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Springfield and from 1979-1993 as President of the College of Our Lady of the Elms. She received an A.B. In the Diocese of Worcester Sr. Mary Dorothy taught in St. Mary School, Milford and St. Ann School, Worcester. degree from the College of Our Lady of the Elms, Chicopee, Mass. She will be waked from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m with a prayer service at 10:00 a.m. She earned a bachelor's degree from the College of Our Lady of the Elms, Chicopee, MA. Sister taught in the Diocese of Springfield in the following schools: Sacred Heart, Holyoke, St. Joseph, Pittsfield, St. Mary, Northampton, and Cathedral High School, Springfield, where she served for 21 years. In addition to her Sisters in community, she is survived by her brother-in-law Anthony Conlin and by her nieces and nephews Kathy Conlin, Maureen Burns, Shelia Fitzgerald, Ellen Conlin Jackowski, Karen Conlin, Kate Sullivan, William McGurk, David McGurk, Raymond McGurk, Sharon Hood, Geraldine Vale and Barry McGurk, She also leaves several great nieces and nephews. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Mont Marie Cemetery. from Assumption College, Worcester and an M.A. Later she served as infirmarian at Mt. John Randall of Providence, RI. degree from the College of St. Joseph the Provider in Rutland, Vermont. Sister Loretta entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Springfield from St. Thomas Parish, South Barre in 1948. and an M.A. For more than a century, Mont Marie has provided the Holyoke area with the finest short-term and long-term care services, and today, we continue to build on the strong bedrock of compassionate care founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph.
