Took our bottle of Prairie Fume up on the hill along with cheese and crackers and relaxed. The winery has wonderful award winning wines and was named Winery of the Year in 2012 at the San Diego wine festival. So, basically, when the kids are ready to do something, we can have a normal day. The Bistro open daily noon to 3 pm serves delicious luncheon fare. Philippes arrival in 1984 was the start of yet another era for the winery. It certainly is worth the visit. We can tell over and over that we have been able to do what few people have ever been able (or committed) to do; we have been able to live our dream.
